Jessica Chastain

JessicaJessica Michelle Chastain, born March 24, 1977 is an American actress. Her films that address feminist themes are her most popular. She has been awarded many awards such as an Academy Award as well as an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award. Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential individuals around the globe in 2012. Chastain was a keen actor from an early age. She made her stage debut as Shakespeare's Juliet in 1998. After studying acting at the Juilliard School, she was signed to a talent holding contract with the TV producer John Wells. She was a frequent guest star on numerous television shows and also played a variety of roles in stage productions. Following her film debut at the age of 31 in the drama Jolene (2008), Chastain was able to make her mark in 2011 , with six films released including the dramas Take Shelter (2011) and The Tree of Life (2011). Chastain was also nominated for Academy Award nominations as a character in The Help (2011), where she played a aspiring socialite. She also appeared in Zero Dark Thirty (2012) as an CIA analyst. The science-fiction films Interstellar (2014) & The Martian (2015) were commercially more successful than the horror film It Chapter Two (2019). Chastain received further acclaim for her portrayals of strong-willed women in the dramas A Very violent Year (2014), Miss Sloane (2016), and Molly's Game (2017), and the miniseries for television Scenes from a Marriage (2021). In the role of Tammy Faye Bakker, she was awarded the Academy Award for Best Actress as well as Tammy Wynette in The Eyes of Tammy Faye (21) and Tammy Wynette in The Eyes of Tammy Faye (21). Chastain is the founder of the production company Freckle Films, which was created to promote the diversity of filmmaking, and is an investor in the soccer team Angel City FC.
